Dunquin Youth Hostel (Dún Chaoin), Co. Kerry
Situated on the Dingle Way this youth hostel in the Dingle Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking area) is the most westerly hostel in Europe.
Before you, are the Blasket Islands and then the expanse of the Atlantic ocean, stretching all the way to America!
Dún Chaoin and the Dingle Peninsula offer really good hillwalking and cycling as well as many archaeological sites.
Location:
Bus Éireann : Killarney - Dún Chaoin, which runs in the summer months, alight in front of the Youth Hostel. In winter months, Bus Éireann Killarney - Dingle, change to Bus Éireann Dingle - Dún Chaoin. By Car or Bike, follow the road from Dingle to Dún Chaoin (via Ballyferriter). The Youth Hostel is the first building in the village.
